Sometimes in cold December it’s nice to remember those warm August days.  These photos were taken in August of this year in my neighborhood.  I really enjoyed watching these kniphofia plants grow and bloom.  They are planted in large clumps in a twenty foot border.  The repetition of planting worked really well and they put on a gorgeous display during bloom.  The grass-like leaves are attractive even before the flowers appear.
