  • Cut out dead on Japanese maples
  • Rake leaves and clean up debris, especially leaves that may be diseased
  • Finish pruning back perennials
  • Add mulch on garden beds
  • Deadhead pansies
  • Plant winter containers with hardy evergreens like hellebore, ivy, miniature conifers, wintergreen and heuchera
  • Need to move a plant?  Do it now when it’s dormant
  • Remove broken branches from trees after storms
  • Think about spring
