I passed the Certified Professional Horticulturist (CPH) exam this week!  I am so excited because I got 100% on the plant ID section, the part I studied the most.  I was almost tricked by the Katsura tree.  I stared and stared at it, but nothing came to mind.  The leaves were bigger than the ones we have at the nursery.  I couldn’t place that tree, until I leaned into the foliage, breathed deeply and caught the faintest whiff of cotton candy!  That’s the katsura.  A sweet and beautiful tree!
