These are a few flowers that were blooming in recent weeks. The echinacea, black-eyed Susan, Balloon Flower, Flowering Maple and Lantana (annual here) are wonderful end-of-the summer plants. Summer continues in the Northwest as we have sunny, warm days with no rain. The mornings are crisp and cool, but it is dry and the plants need some moisture!
what is that lovely frilly pink flowere and how about a name for those lilies?
The lilies are Crocosmia, but I deleted the picture since it’s really a summer flower! This posted before I was ready, so I made a few changes today!
These are lovely and so bright…feels like summer looking at them…and I have all those flowers as well which was such a wonderful surprise!
It’s like coming home when you see familiar plants in another part of the world!
Oh, we absolutely do need some rain. The cooler weather is good for working in the garden though.
I know, I keep thinking I don’t need to water the trees and shrubs, it will surely start raining soon….but it doesn’t! And they are getting crispy! Do you have a garden? What’s your favorite thing in it?
Your fall blooms are beautiful. Hope you get rain soon.
